Centrifugal Blood Pump for Minimally-Invasive Cardiac Surgery

Home Monitor for Congestive Heart Failure Patients

The DayLink® Monitor is a patient monitor designed by Aubrey Group for at-home use. The system incorporates speech capability, very precise weight measurement, and physician-specified questions about their symptoms via audible voice and visual display. Accurate measurements and patient responses are then automatically sent via the patient’s regular phone line to the Alere® Data Exchange Network.

Dental Perioscopy System

Aubrey Group developed the DV2 Perioscopy™ System for DentalView, Inc. in Irvine, CA. The DV2 Perioscopy ™ System integrates a miniature fiberoptic endoscope and disposable sheath with a medical-grade CMOS camera, digital processor and flat panel video monitor that captures and displays real-time images. This system allows dentists and hygienists to perform subgingival diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

TLC-II® Portable VAD Driver

Aubrey Group designed the TLC-II® Portable VAD Driver for Thoratec Corporation to improve patient mobility. This driver is a compact and lightweight (9.8 kg) battery or electrical power operated biventricular pneumatic drive unit. This driver enables patients supported with the Thoratec VAD system to be as ambulatory as their condition permits, allowing them to be transferred to less costly non-acute medical facilities or potentially discharged.

Core-Body Temperature Controller

Aubrey Group developed the CoolGard ™ 3000 system for Alsius corporation. The CoolGard™ 3000 is a patient temperature control system used for inducing systemic cooling or heating for purposes of patient outcome management. The CoolGard™ temperature management system is a high-tech electronic platform positioned next to the patient’s bedside. The CoolGard™ adjusts the temperature of the sterile saline flowing in a closed-loop within the catheter, allowing the system to react immediately to changes in the patient’s core temperature as small as 0.1°C.
